Brian Kane, executive director of the independent watchdog MBTA Advisory Board, said he’s had conversations with budget-writers in both the House and Senate and thinks the final bill will “get to around the governor’s number” in terms of money for the T.

‘If you look at last year[‘s budget], the dollar amounts were more or less the same, but there were different allocations,’ Kane told MASSterList.

‘Everybody wants to do the right thing by the T,’ he added. ‘The branches understand this is important … A lot of it has to do with Phil Eng being a really strong GM that people feel like they can invest in.’…”
