The Budget and Policy Analyst works under the direction of the Executive Director and supports the activities of the MBTA Advisory Board, its activities, committees, and to fulfil its responsibilities.
Review and analyze the MBTA annual budgets within the time allotted by law. Working with the Executive Director, provide analysis and supplemental information to the MBTA Advisory Board Committees and the full Advisory Board on a broad range of topics related to the MBTA, public transportation in Massachusetts, transportation policy, Massachusetts political environment, etc. Assist in the management of Committees and Advisory Board meetings. Represent the organization on external boards, committees, and taskforces as required, and respond to member and designee questions and requests as needed.
Assist the Executive Director and other Advisory Board staff on special projects, as directed, and contribute to MBTA Advisory Board publications.
Time Commitment: 37.5 hours per week, full time.
Location: At least 3 days/week in the office, no more than 2 days/week off-site
Compensation: $85,000 to $99,000 per year (negotiable)
Benefits: Health & Dental Insurance (80%), Life Insurance valued at 3 times gross salary (100%). 3 weeks paid vacation, all applicable state and federal holidays, 5 personal days, free MBTA travel on all modes.
Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays, with one 1-hour break each day.
