Working under the direction of the Executive Director and other staff, the Summer Intern will assist the organization’s efforts to increase the visibility of the MBTA Advisory Board via projecting its message, amplifying its policy positions, and helping to broaden the knowledge of the organization among the elected officials, the membership, its potential membership, policy makers, and the general public.

Duties- The summer intern will assist staff to:

  • Redesign and update the MBTA Advisory Board website
  • Create, manage and update the organization’s social media publications including promoting MBTA Advisory Board policy positions
  • Update blogs, newsletters, e-blasts, etc.
  • Assist with organizational events
  • Participate in Board and Committee meetings
  • Complete research and clerical work as directed
  • Update database of members and designees as directed

Time Commitment: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Office

Compensation: $25 per hour (not benefits eligible) & MBTA pass

Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays, with one 1-hour break each day.

Duration: June 4, 2024 – August 16, 2024 (11 weeks)
