Mayor Thomas P. Koch will serve as the new Board of Directors to the MBTA. This new law was passed by Governor Charlie Baker in July. The law allowed lawmakers to pick one member of the seven-person panel to the Advisory Board which represents more than 170 cities and towns. On the Advisory Board Koch served over a decade as a chairman and voted on August 17th, which appointed Koch to the Board of Directors.
