MBTA Advisory Board members are invited to register and join a virtual forum next Tuesday, July 9 at 10AM for “The MBTA’s Fiscal Cliff and the Future of Public Transit”, hosted by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC).

The panel consists of MBTA Advisory Board Executive Director Brian Kane; former State Senator, Mayor, and MBTA Board member Tom McGee; and MBTA Board member Mary Skelton Roberts.

Decades of underinvestment have brought the MBTA and our broader transportation system to a crisis point. How did we get here and what does this mean for the future of public transit in Greater Boston? Join MAPC for a roundtable discussion with The MBTA Advisory Board and two MBTA Board Members to learn more about the fiscal needs facing our regional transit authority, the challenges and opportunities that underline those needs, and ways to stay engaged on these issues in the coming months.
